Our Jackson County, Minnesota Highpointing Page

1 unnamed hill: 1570+ feet

Introduction

Jackson County's high point area is an irregularly-shaped contour area that spreads over the Nobles county line, section 30 of Round Lake Township. I visited this area on November 13, 2004, after completing Martin County's high points.

Approaches to Jackson County's High Point

I stayed on Jackson County Road 4 all the way across the southern part of the county, then took side roads to the county line.

Parking

I overshot the approach and had to back up to get it.

The Trail and the Summit

I followed all the high ground in the contour area and concluded that the highest ground is right next to the road in the field.

The Route Out

I made my way into Round Lake, then took Minnesota State Highway 264 north to I-90, on my way to the Nobles County High Point.
